Compulsary Foreign Languages In Schools 12 March 2007

More foreign languages in schools is a great idea. Compulsion is not. All children are different with different abilities in different subjects. Some are good at languages but others are good at maths, science etc. We should let children develop their strengths rather than force them to study what political leaders want. This is therefore a terrible idea. It might increase the quantity of bilingual people, but not quality.
